Injection Molding ProMolder 1 Certification
Attendance Prerequisite: None.

Fee: $1,395 for three-day course including 1/2 day machine demonstration

Who should attend this class? Anyone wanting to learn the basics of injection molding.

Course Summary: ProMolder 1 is an ideal class for someone who wishes to understand the basics of injection molding or wants to brush up on the basic fundamentals.

It will cover the following topics with a written test at the end for certification:

  • The Molding Machine
  • Four Primary Plastic Conditions: From the Plastic’s Point of View
  • Mold Fundamentals
  • Machine Operating Controls
  • Introduction to In-Mold Instrumentation
  • Common Part Defects & Solutions
  • Injection Molding Simulation

Attendees must apply these techniques by developing robust processes using screw-based VPT techniques. As part of the certification, attendees must pass multiple machine and written tests. Certified attendees will have a greater understanding of plastic behavior in the machine and mold.
