ProMolder 3

This Course is for: High-level experts in molding facilities including engineers, production supervisors, and experienced molding technicians wanting to achieve a higher level of expertise and understanding. These individuals can take complete responsibility for set-up, operations and troubleshooting.

Attendance Pre-Requisites: 

1.) ProMolder 2 Certification OR

2.) SkillCheck Level 1 test score of 80% or better, SkillCheck Level 2 test score of 70% or better, and SkillCheck Level 3 test score of 60% or better

3.) Other programs or education levels considered — call to discuss.

Technical background with analytical skills/experience and basic mathematics a benefit for this class.

Course Summary: ProMolder 3 is an intense two-week certification program for molders with expertise who wish to learn and implement the latest in cavity pressure and cavity temperature processing techniques. The class involves 50% machine time and 50% classroom & simulation time.  Attendees must pass multiple machine and written exams for certification. This course will cover the following topics:

Attendees must apply these techniques by developing robust processes using cavity pressure and temperature VPT techniques. Certified attendees will gain a solid understanding of part breakage, developing universal processing parameters, hot runner technology, process control and process monitoring using injection molded instrumentation.
