TRAINING ON THE RISE

For Immediate Release:
Paulson Adds New Course: “Plastic Part Design for Injection Molding”

Chester, CT (May 1, 2007) Plastic Part Design for Injection Molding has just been added to Paulson’s extensive selection of training products. This course demonstrates proven parts designing techniques; provides the necessary hands-on opportunity to see and feel the effects of treating various design details; and delivers important part design knowledge to improve part quality, eliminate mold revisions and reduce costs.

This fully-interactive course is available for taking on the Internet and takes the designer through a procedure that translates the complex subject of plastic part design for injection molding into a simple technique. Many injection molded parts suffer throughout their existence due to minor design defects. The use of this course and the guidelines explained will allow the designer to spot design defects in the drawing stage and save tens of thousands of dollars.

Plastic Part Design for Injection Molding was developed in conjunction with Glenn Beall, a leading industry expert in part design. Beall, president of Glenn Beall Plastics LTD of Libertyville, Ill., is a product designer, inventor, consultant, lecturer, author and plastics activist.

This course is recommended for design part personnel, production supervisors, process engineers, quality control personnel, and molding managers, and will take the learner through seven lessons: Designing the Nominal Wall, Designing Three Dimensional Shapes, Projections off the Nominal Wall, Depressions in the Nominal Wall, Designing Hollow Bosses, Designing Molded Threads, and Designing Parts with Undercuts.

“All of Paulson's fully interactive training programs give employees valuable skills and in-depth understanding for increased performance and company profitability. With a step-by-step procedure, this new course makes plastic part design a logical and comprehensible system. We are thrilled to add another product which will improve quality, reduce costs and improve profitability,” said Paulson President Scott Paulson.
